It isn’t so: WMaiD is coming. Blayne already set a release date for the scenario, but I’ll let him tell you more about it. What’s not going to see the light of day is the series of articles I’ve planned about NPC creation. Yes, I know: bummer… I’m also leaving the team, so this will be my last blog entry. Hey, who’s that cheering in the background?

Here’s a sample of the unfinished draft.
The reason for my departure is personal and has nothing to do with some misunderstanding or me getting bored of the project. Blayne, Anthony, Aaron and Misha are incredible people. I had a great time working with them and I know the result of our combined efforts will be worthy of your time.
This past week the team gained a couple of new members: Bryan and Sam, also know as Palabulus and Frungi. Isn’t that something? See you starside!

The latest addition to the WMaiD rooster is Misha, a talented artist from Poland. He’s the same Misha who left us a comment back in October and in the few days since he joined the team, he has brought some interesting ideas onboard. You can enjoy a few examples of his work below:
In other news, […]

For anybody who’s waiting for the next post on the character creation series, I have to ask you to wait a little longer. Work on the Slider is well underway (check the picture below) but I want to complete it before I write about it as a way to ensure everything I’ll say actually works. […]

Back in the day, Blayne didn’t have access to Photoshop and he was having a hard time trying to figure out how to edit color tables without the ubiquitous image editor. I took the Myth Slideshow bundled with the Marathon Trilogy CD and made him a graphical explanation on how to do what he want […]

Raúl here again. How long have it been since my first post, over a week? That must be an eternity in blog time. I’ll try not to fall behind my fellow team members.
Speaking of team members, Aaron Sikes is now one of us. It’s great when the team grows. If you’re also interested in becoming […]

Ack. Four hours of Photoshop work causes my wrist to feel like I’ve stuck my hand in front of an oncoming train. Perhaps trying to flag it down taxi-style?
This is a revamped version (wreckage added) of the first chapterscreen the player sees in WMaiD. REB kindly suggested after seeing the initial version that far away […]

Hi, I’m Blayne - the lead designer of WMaiD. During the past three days working on this levelit crashed multiple times, wiping out about 4 hours of work each time. Oh how I love OS 9 and forgetting to save my work. No matter how long I use Forge (rather, my WMaiD-specific version) I will […]

Howdy. I’m Raúl and this is my first post on the WMaiD Developers’ Weblog. On the team’s behalf, I welcome you all.
Early stages of the Jjaro Slider
The picture above depicts the attack sequence of the Jjaro Slider, a new monster class I’m designing. As you can see, it’s a work in progress. The cannon (between […]
