Before fleeing to Maine, our hero Carlos led the rather uneventful life any Muchacho might expect to have in the village of Chimichangawanga, Mexico. He enjoyed smashing empty tequila bottles, blowing stuff up, and generally raising a ruckus with his amigo Juan Dolla, to the point where a certain mean next-door neighbor dialed the local policia to file a complaint.

However the Global Legion of Bounty Hunters (a.k.a. G.L.O.B. Hunters), having cleverly tapped into the phone lines of every crime-ridden town this side of Huatulco, intervened and offered to pursue and hopefully capture Carlos themselves, under the condition that the aforementioned mean next-door neighbor offer the organization a fair monetary reward for their services.

Now the most important thing you should know about this particular next-door neighbor is that she was particularly dim-witted- in fact, she was dumb enough to agree to put up a hefty sum of pesos for the capture of the meerly mischievous Carlos. Upon realizing that there was a price on his hide, Carlos promptly fled to the states. Realizing that the G.L.O.B. (being a Global organization) would not stop their pursuit at the national border, Carlos made his way up the East coast, stopping only after reaching Maine. While in Maine, Carlos grew up in the company of two other Mexican fugitives, known as Cortez and Senior Clean. Together they ran a successful lumber smuggling operation, evading the Canadian border patrol as they transported tree trunks to those who were willing to shell out top dollar for the badly-needed firewood.

...But as the years went on the lumber smuggling biz began to dry up, especially after a number of clever Canadians recognized the fact that pine trees were quite abundant domestically. Predictably, Cortez and Senior Clean soon lost interest in their tree-hauling practice, and since they no longer had any use for Carlos, they decided to turn their former cohort in to the East Woodland, Maine Police Department.

...And that would have been the end of the story, at least if Juan Dolla had not paid a visit to Maine in an attempt to free Carlos from the slammer, inadvertently exposing him to the wrath of the East Woodland branch of the Global Legion of Bounty Hunters...
