Death features an exploding tick that gets squooshed by a platform and kills you, to complete the effect of being in an exploding escape pod. This is similar to the exploding Phfor in Edison Awakening. The trick here was that I had to take out the chair (in Forge, compare to the layout of the pod in Endymion). It seems that an explosion from an exploding monster has trouble reaching across multiple polys, no matter what the blast radius you have specified in the physics model. The only way I could blast the player was to ensure the player was in the poly adjacent to the tick. I haven't encountered any explanation for this or any workaround.
