Puzzle Tips

This level starts with the trickiest puzzle of any in the whole scenario. You have to figure out how to escape the Stationmaster's quarters without getting blasted by the guards outside. The secret is hinted at in the Admiral's message -- the windows are vulnerable to projectile weapons. So find the hidden gun (the nightstand retracts into the floor if you "push" it (ie, use the action key)), open the door to the outer room, and shoot out the window. (Note that it may take more than one shot.) The aliens will be sucked out into space, and the window will shortly seal itself. You manage to hang on, thanks to your cybernetics!

From there, nothing is too complicated. Just be sure you remember to grab the chip outside the observatory -- it's easy to miss on the way out of that area if you're not being observant. And remember to kill EVERYTHING -- otherwise you can't finish the level. (Note that sometimes, compilers inside the computer core can get "stuck" in hidden places after being hit a couple times. Check this area carefully if you're having trouble finding that last monster!)

Oh -- just in case you don't think of it, there's a term in a room on the second floor with three blue columns against one wall. Read the term -- if you don't, you won't get any further. (Reading terms in this scenario is VERY important.)

Combat Tips

As always, on TC, conserve ammo. You'll need it at the end of this level. I hear you saying "Yeah, yeah, I hear that all the time." No, you're REALLY going to need it!

Don't overuse your laser on wussy monsters, as it is a handy weapon. However, don't underuse it either -- you don't want to deplete all other ammo supplies. The laser is fairly useless against multiple adversaries unless they are fairly wimpy, or can be handled one at a time. It is particularly useful against single, powerful enemies, as it can pin them down and prevent them from attacking.
