Puzzle Tips

Hyperion has got his claws back into you now. You'd better do as he says.

Which means, simply, you've got to grab a chip (on the second level, above the engine room) and insert it in the hole on the second level of the command deck (at the front of the ship). This opens a bunch of doors. Next, you must do three things: 1) grab the chip in the port (ie, left) maintenance station on the first level, 2) flip the switches in each (of two) maintenance station, and 3) go to the engine room and smash the circuits revealed by the switch-flipping from step 2. Then move fast up to the second level to avoid a hotfoot. (I recommend going out the big door opposite the terms and then up the stairs on either side.)

Last, just exit through the jump pad in the starboard (ie, right) bay. The one you came in on will never become operational.

Combat Tips

The inactive juggernauts in each bay are invaluable, but remember that when you shoot one, all nearby will go up as well. When you first arrive, I'd advise spinning quickly and nailing a jug. If you do this fast enough, you'll only have to fight one wuss alien. Also, the Master in the starboard bay can be hurt, as it starts off near the jugs -- but you need a fast projectile. Fire an alien weapon at the jugs and by the time the projectile gets there, the Master is out of range of the explosion. Use a pistol. (Still, this doesn't kill it, it just makes it easier to kill.)

For fun, or if you don't have much ammo, lure the compilers in the engine room back up into the starting cargo bay. You can kill them off with their own projectiles by running circles around them. It's a LOT of fun having several dozen compiler shots chasing you around the room! Just be sure to make them smash into a wall when you're done with them. (ie, stand against a wall, and when they come close, sidestep and then run forward. If you don't run forward, any that managed to avoid the wall will get you. Rinse and repeat.)
