Puzzle Tips

At the Beanstalk node, there's a rebellion underway. The gray fighters and troopers and the red enforcers are on your side.

The object is two-fold: 1) deactivate the mass driver safeties, and 2) get off the node.

For the first objective, find the chip in the bays on the second level and insert it in security on the first (the level where you arrive). Now the elevators to the mass driver safeties, at the east and west ends of the node, are activated. But the eastern one turns out to be broken, and you must fix it. Find the repair kit in maintenance. (For a cool trick, once you have it, "action-key" the dead robot on the bench!) Then go back to the closest room to the broken elevator, read the term (to open a panel), and then "action-key" the broken circuit to fix it.

Once up each elevator, read the terms to get access to the safety circuits. Smash them.

Next, get off the station. Go back to the second level. Go through the newly-opened blast doors to the north end of the node. Watch the Master and some hunters zap out. Then go up the stairs in the same area to the pad at the top. Don't forget to grab the ammo and powerup nearby first!

Combat Tips

Let your allies do much of the fighting, but try to help them out some. If you help, you risk getting hurt, but you keep some allies alive for other battles. This is important in some places, not so much in others. Near the end, it's helpful if you can lure the monsters at the top of the stairs out into the hallways, especially if you have some living allies cruising the areas nearby.
