Puzzle Tips

The primary goal here is to get on board a shuttle heading to Alpha Station. But to do that, you've got some work to do. You see, there's an alien convention going on in the shuttle bay! You'll need to activate the automatic defenses in the bay (with Hyperion's help).

First you've got to get a security chip, but that's most of the problem. You'll find the chip area to the west of the big round room. To get the chip, you must push the button in the room overlooking the chip lockdown chamber (which has a big round column in the middle). Next, you must push a button in a nearby room (right next to a 1x recharger, with a couple terms nearby) and run like crazy back around, down both sets of stairs, and through the door into the lockdown chamber. (If you're not fast enough, the door closes.) Flip the switch on the column right in front of you as you come in the door (NOT the one right next to the door). This exposes another switch. Flip it. Now you're done (for now), as the next panel will get stuck. Next you must go to the living quarters to the south of the big round room. There's a panel back in there somewhere that you smash, then come back to the lockdown chamber and flip the last switch. Get the chip.

Next, you've got to insert the chip at the top of the tower in the big round room. Access is through the area to the east of the big round room. This opens a door at the bottom of the tower. Go in there and push the button Hyperion told you to. This activates the defenses in the bay (with Hyperion's aid to prevent the rest of the defenses coming on).

By the way, there's nothing that says you actually have to USE the chip. You could try to fight your way through the bay instead. Just be aware that you have very little chance of surviving such a battle unless you're playing on Kindergarten (and even then you may very well die a few times).

Combat Tips

Just the obvious -- try to let the terrorists and the aliens kill each other as much as you can. And remember that the humans in this level don't like you. So just kill whoever's left standing.
