The Tarkyls Masters of the mind, the Tarkyl are a caste race. There are numerous castes - pawns, warriors, masters, and enforcers. The queen herself is hidden deep within a hive complex. All castes have some degree of mental psycic prowess, which has allways unnerved the Federation... I'm not really sure where these guys came from. Hmm.
